Anne Arundel County Police have released a sliver of new information in the investigation of the death of a Davidsonville woman found dead back in March. Agency spokesman Justin Mulcahy has said that the murder of 37-year-old Nicole Burgess was not a random crime.
Mulcahy would not elaborate further about the Burgess case, which has been classified as a homicide. Burgess was found stabbed to death along with her dog in March. Anne Arundel County Police say their investigation is progressing, with several interviews conducted and a lot of evidence collected. Mulcahy says what investigators have seen so far indicates the murder was not a random act.
Police say they still need the public’s help in completing their investigation. Anyone with information on the Nicole Burgess case should contact Anne Arundel County Police.
