Patricia Dwyer Passes Away

       Patricia Marie Dwyer (Kolevar) passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20th, surrounded by family and love.
     She was born in Standish, Michigan in 1946 and lived there until finishing high school. There, she worked at her family's bakery, The Standish Bakery. After High School, she moved to Washington, DC where she worked on Capitol Hill and a Financial Firm. She married the love of her life, John Dwyer, Sr. in August of 1975, moved to Davidsonville, Maryland, and continued to work at the family business until 2010. She most recently worked at the Naval Academy Sports Brigade where she made numerous friendships. Pat visited her hometown of Standish, Michigan as often as she could.
     She was blessed to have numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that she would visit with frequently there and always considered that her true Home. Pat enjoyed going to the casino as often as she could in her final years. She loved to travel, go on cruises and frequently visited Maui, Hawaii, her favorite place on Earth. Pat was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (brain cancer) a year before her death and fought fiercely through multiple surgeries and procedures, surprising numerous doctors with her strength during each setback.
     Pat is preceded in death by her husband, John Dwyer, Sr., daughter, Kimberly McKnight, brother, Robert (Judy) Kolevar, and sister-in-law, Sandy Kolevar. She is survived by her children Greg McKnight of Huntingtown, Maryland, Jennifer Dwyer Dent (Ahilan) of Severna Park, Maryland, John Dwyer, Jr. (June) of Davidsonville, Maryland, Sandy Sberro (Jacques)of Land O Lakes, Florida and Barbara Coffey (Bob) of Nokomis, Florida, her sister Maryann Pelton (Phil) of Standish, Michigan, her brother David Kolevar of Saginaw, Michigan, seven grandchildren (Deanna, Nicholas, Christy, Cayla, Jonna, Sabrina and Reagan) and one great-granddaughter (Madelyn).
     The Family will hold a Visitation at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, Maryland on Thursday, August 24th from 5-7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Severna Park, Maryland on Friday, August 25th at 10:30am.
