Jerry Alan Jones of Davidsonville, Maryland, passed away after a lengthy illness on July 16 at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD.
Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Carol, of 63 years, his children Kathy Jones Repage of Leland, NC; Jeffrey Alan Jones of Lake Mary, FL; Greg Jones of Chestertown, MD; and Linda Jones of Franklin, MA. In addition, he leaves behind five grandchildren: Ashley Jones, Brett Jones, KC Repage Tregoning, Bradley Jones, and Hannah Finnegan; and one great-granddaughter - Rylee - and one great-grandchild due in November.
Jerry was General Manager, Safety Management Division for the United States Postal Service; served on the Board of Directors of the National Safety Council; and was awarded several presidential honors throughout his career. He served for 8 years in the Army Reserves. An avid lover of dogs, sports, and gardening, he led life to the fullest.
Friends are invited to celebrate Jerry's life on Wednesday, July 20th from 5 to 7 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, July 21st at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD.
