Therese Turner, 102, Passes Away

On January 19, 2022, in Davidsonville, Maryland, Therese Louise Turner, age 102, went to Heaven.
She was an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and so much more! She was born in 1919 in Lynn, Massachusetts, as the only child to Armance Marguerite and Eugene Aldrick Gauthier. During her childhood and teen years, Therese passionately enjoyed sketching portraits of the fashions of her day. During this time, she met her future husband, Albert Wesley Turner, from Gambrills, Maryland. They had very different interests; she loved art and he loved cars. After marrying on December 10, 1941, Therese focused on her husband and children, Louise Suzanne, Madeleine Claire and Glenn Albert. Therese was blessed with many talents. She creatively sketched and water-colored portraits, landscape and still life. Playing the piano with much emotion, avid reading and talented writing also showed her flamboyant personality. Her exceptional ability to write about her memorable life experiences resulted in published works. Her amicable and fun personality mixed with entertaining story-telling and fantastic culinary skills brought to light an inviting hostess for many business socials with Albert. Not only did Therese lovingly dedicate her life to Albert reaching her 77th wedding anniversary, but also faithfully raised her children, two of her most important life accomplishments. Therese's favorite color was green matching her beautiful eyes. Her favorite flowers were the spring bloomers like lilacs, pansies and tulips. She enjoyed gardening successfully growing roses for many years. Her personality filled a room with a loving, giving spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. She also had a lot of compassion for animals and appreciated God's creations. Often, she observed songbirds and butterflies from her desk window. As a cat lover, she would typically be accompanied by her feline companion, affectionately called the "head nurse". Therese was always supportive and a devoted partner to her husband. Both would travel a lot on business conventions. They enjoyed dancing together. We could not have asked for a better mother. Therese was an extraordinary mother showing her love by being there for her children's every milestone. The family will have many fond memories of her. Therese will forevermore fill a significant place in our hearts. We will everlastingly miss our beautiful mother who was magnificent in many ways. God bless our mother. Therese was predeceased by her husband, Albert Wesley Turner, March 20, 2019.
She is survived by her three children: Louise Suzanne Odom, husband John, (Florida), (former spouse Kenneth E. Neil), Madeleine Claire Turner (Maryland), (former spouse Jack P. Kelly), and Glenn Albert Turner (Maryland). Her oldest grandson, David Alan Neil, also predeceased her on October 23, 2007. Her granddaughter, Suzanne Louise Mendez, husband Abel, her great grandson, Luke Abel Mendez, and her great granddaughter, Julia Elizabeth Mendez (Florida). Her twin grandson, Walter Kenneth Neil, wife Laura, and three great grandchildren, Lily La Vange Neil, Claire Suzanne Neil, and Turner Walter Neil (California). Her other twin grandson, Danny Albert Neil, wife Nadia, and great grandson, Kyle Albert Neil, and great granddaughter Nikita Helen Neil (California).
