Bruce Thomason Passes Away

     Bruce Wayne Thomason, 71, left this earth for heaven on Saturday, February 12, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. 
     Bruce was a taxi/sedan driver in the City of Annapolis for over 25 years. He loved serving his customers, many of whom became extended family. Bruce taught Sunday School at Riverdale Baptist Church to 2nd and 3rd Grade boys. He was also a volunteer with Prison Fellowship, a ministry started by Chuck Colson, and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1995. Bruce believed strongly in missions and counted it a privilege to support children through World Vision, as well as travel to Zambia to help construct a Bible College and minister in the schools and orphanages. Bruce was born to Ross Wayne Thomason and Lorraine Hill Thomason on August 10, 1950, in Washington, DC.
     He is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is also preceded in death by his first wife Marionlee "Micky" Schaeffer. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Dawn Thomason. Bruce is also survived by his two sons Levi Thomason and Noah Thomason (Sarah), as well as two stepsons, Christopher Taylor (Natalee) and Ryan Taylor. Also beloved by Bruce were his four grandchildren, Devynne, Brynne, Josie, and Austen. Additionally, Bruce is survived by his sister Carol Hile Cranford (Rocky). Lastly, he was known and loved as Uncle Bruce (or to some Uncle "Moose") by many nieces and nephews.
     A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Bruce's honor on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. The location is Chesapeake Christian Fellowship, 377 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 20135.
