Cathleta Linton "Cats", 81, a resident of Davidsonville, MD and formerly of Clermont, FL and Queens, NY, died of natural causes on Tuesday, January 10 at the Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center in Annapolis, MD.
Born on December 11, 1935, in Jamaica to the late Oscar Dacosta and Hazel Williams, Cats was a Certified Nurse Assistant and homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, MD and enjoyed cooking, travelling and having good times with her family and friends.
Cats is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Renford Linton, Sr.; her sons, Renford Linton, Jr. of New Jersey and Dave Linton of California; her daughters, Marcia Hussey of Davidsonville, MD, Marie Leslie of California and Andrea Plucknett of Virginia; her adopted daughters, Denise Springer and Janeth Walters both of New York; her sons in law, Outram J. Hussey, Gilbert Leslie and Roy Plucknett; her daughter in law, Judith Linton; her brother, Evon Dacosta; her sisters, Carol Dacosta-Allen, Sybil Peart and the late Myrtle Taylor; her grandsons, Xavier, Andre, Ryan, Geoffrey, Jonathan, Aaron, Daniel and Ryan Plucknett; her granddaughters, Gabrielle, Tamika, Brittany, Geenah, Kendra and Rachel; her great-grandchildren, Tristan, Elizabeth and Joshua and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Friends are invited to celebrate Cat's life on Thursday, January 19 from 4 to 7 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD and on Friday, January 20 from 10 am until a Mass of Christian Burial is offered at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
