Mary Louise Carson, age 93, Of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8th, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Beloved mother of Susan Rathbun of Syracuse, NY, Bill Grant of Berkeley, CA, Sarah Miller of Bethesda, MD; grandmother of Bill, Cecilia, and George Rathbun; Elise and Raymond Kohl-Grant; David and Jonathan Shawl. Also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Harry, and Will Rathbun; Connor and Chloe Andersen; Nikita and Ramona Rathbun.
She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Carson of Davidsonville, MD.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Marjorie was a graduate of class of 1943's Mount Auburn Hospital's School of Nursing in Cambridge. Marj enjoyed a long nursing career and later traveling the world, first as a Navy wife, and then as a travel agent. Marj's many interests included art, film, literature, opera, and theater history. She enjoyed playing Mah Jongg and attending the Met Opera simulcasts with her friends. Marj's favorite event was the annual family reunion in Virginia Beach, VA. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
