Davidsonville Students Plant

Recently, students from Davidsonville Elementary‘s Green School spent the afternoon planting native vegetation at the Davidsonville Wildlife Sanctuary as part of the South River Federation‘s Watershed Restoration Project.
Alongside teachers, parents and South River Federation staff members, the students planted 80 native trees, shrubs and grasses throughout the Sanctuary. According to Jennifer Carr, volunteer coordinator for the South River Federation, the kids had a terrific time working together and learned the importance of keeping local waterways free from dangerous bacteria.
