Davidsonville native Cam Spencer was selected
in the 2024 NBA Draft.
The Detroit Pistons took the guard in
the second round with the 53rd overall pick, but they traded
his rights to the Memphis Grizzlies.
"It was a special moment for me
and my family," Spencer said Friday at his introductory
press conference with the Grizzlies. "[I'm] not too
emotional of a guy either, but it was really special to just kind of look back
on all the hard work and where it got you to this point. And I'm just super
thankful for the opportunity that the organization's going to give me."
