Kimberly Anne Corbin Passes Away

Kimberly Anne Corbin of Davidsonville, Maryland,  passedd away on July 9, 2024 at the age of 46. 

She is survived by : her significant other Steven Roy Collison; her parents, Glenn Corbin and Gail Corbin; and her brothers, Glenn Corbin, III and William Corbin.

A funeral service was held on Monday, July 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.

A Taste of Arundel Grown July 19


 A Taste of Arundel Grown, Arundel Ag's signature event, celebrates local agriculture by showcasing food, beer, and wine grown and produced by Anne Arundel County farmers.

The event supports the Maryland Buy Local Challenge (BLC), an annual statewide initiative that encourages all Marylanders to support local farmers by purchasing locally produced farm products during "Buy Local Week," held July 19-29 in 2024.

Cam Spencer Drafted By Pistons

 

                                                   Cam Spencer #12 in NCAA Tournament

    Davidsonville native Cam Spencer was selected in the 2024 NBA Draft.

    The Detroit Pistons took the guard in the second round with the 53rd overall pick, but they traded his rights to the Memphis Grizzlies.

    "It was a special moment for me and my family," Spencer said Friday at his introductory press conference with the Grizzlies. "[I'm] not too emotional of a guy either, but it was really special to just kind of look back on all the hard work and where it got you to this point. And I'm just super thankful for the opportunity that the organization's going to give me."

Kenneth Crisman Passes Away

The world bids farewell to Kenneth Crisman of Davidsonville, Maryland, born in Gary, Indiana, departing on June 23, 2024 at the age of 81. 

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Earl and Anne Crisman; and his wife Carolyn Crisman. He is survived by : his children, Kenneth Scott Crisman (Kim) and Lisa Thrift (Kevin) of Annapolis, MD; his close friend Mary Ann Anderson; his brother Wayne Crisman of Bowie, MD; and his grandchildren, Stacy Crisman, Josh Thrift, Kenny Crisman, Shane Thrift, Nicholas Thrift (Jamie) and Kaitlin Thrift. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cape St. Claire Association Clubhouse (1223 River Bay Rd, Annapolis, MD 21409).
