James Bernard Cole, Jr. “Jim”, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Davidsonville, MD on February 27, 2024. Born on September 5, 1944, in Davidsonville to the late Emilie and James Cole, Sr., Jim graduated from Annapolis High School in 1962. He grew up in Davidsonville and moved to Annapolis briefly before moving back to Davidsonville, where he and his wife, Louise, built their home on the family property. He enjoyed woodworking, sorting coins, spending time with his family, and playing with his cat, Nugget. Jim’s career spanned 45-plus years in the Automotive Parts Industry. He would do anything for anyone and he would always find a way to help others in their time of need. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Louise Cole; his children, James (Stacey) Cole, III and Michelle (Ronald) Bunk; his brother, Leonard (June) Cole; his grandchildren, Erica (Kevin) Beans, Megan (Joey), Zachary, Maxwell, Logan, Hunter, and Mia Cole as well as his two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Ava Beans. Friends are invited to celebrate Jim’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Friday, March 1 from 12 to 1 pm. A graveside service will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Davidsonville, MD at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dept. of Aging of Anne Arundel County or Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Condolences may be left at the Kalas Funeral Home web site.
