Robert Graybill August 11, 1949 - June 6, 2023
Robert "Bob" Graybill, beloved father, grandfather, trusted friend, and United States Army veteran, passed away in Annapolis, Md., on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Bob was born on August 11, 1940, and lived a life full of friendship, love, laughs, and hard work. He served his country with honor as a member of the U.S. Army.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Delores Graybill.
Bob is survived by his daughter Kimberly Stanger and son-in-law, Bob Stanger of Davidsonville, Md.; and his grandchildren, Mason Stanger and Chloe Stanger. He is also survived by his son, Scott Graybill of Newport; and grandchildren, Madison Graybill of Charlotte, N.C., and Jacob Graybill of Newport, N.C.
Bob had a great passion for motorsports and made numerous contributions to the community. He was active in the Vinton Rec Department as a football coach and as a supporter of the many activities that his kids were involved in during their childhood.
Bob owned a race team in Vinton, Va., in the 70's and worked with the Wood Brothers NASCAR team throughout the 80's.
The family will welcome friends, family, and acquaintances to a reception to celebrate Bob's life in Maryland. Details will be provided at a later time by his children, Kimberly and Scott.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends for his kind heart, quick wit, and generosity.
