William Currence Passes Away

William “Bill” Currence, 70, of Annapolis MD, passed away on February 13th, 2023. He was born on March 6, 1952 in Elkins, West Virginia to the late Wanema and Elmer Currence. He is survived by his wife Paula Currence, married 23 years, and their children; Bill, Greg, Laura, Gary, and Chris. Bill is preceded in death by his late brother, Elmer “Fred” Currence, and is survived by his siblings John Currence and Heather Berlett, 11 grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews, his best friend Richard Farrell, and many other friends and extended family.

Bill’s mission in life was to bring others to Christ through discipleship, service, and prayer. Yay Jesus!

Bill was a passionate fisherman and loved to spend time on the Chesapeake Bay enjoying the bounty its waters provide.

Bill was a mechanic and entrepreneur by trade. In addition to being a mechanic his entire life, Bill started and ran several companies, including a welding shop with his brother John and two air compressor companies, in all ways he was powered by Jesus.

A public service will be held at Riva Trace Baptist Church ( 475 W Central Ave, Davidsonville MD) on Monday, February 20 at 2:00 PM. Light refreshments will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Hospice of the Chesapeake or another preferred charity. Bill will be deeply missed by all.
