Nancy Joanne (Settles) Lantier, 77, of New Bern, passed away on January 12, 2021.
She was born on November 18, 1943. Nancy was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, MD. where she served on the youth ministry team, and she was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Blanche M. and Earl W. Settles and two sisters, Caroline Everhart and Shirley Kessinger. Nancy is survived by her husband, John David Lantier, children, William Lee Lantier (Lidia) of Katy, TX, Karen Johnson (Thomas) of Charlotte, NC, Deborah VanScott (Peter) of Macedon, NY, and Christopher Lantier (Carole) of Lothian, MD, two sisters, Beverly Tickle of Danville, VA, MaryLou Stanley of Steubenville, OH and Corey Settles of W. Columbia, SC. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Cotten Funeral Home. Her funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
