On Tuesday, three people — including a 14-year-old girl — were taken to a hospital with serious injuries following a head-on crash in Davidsonville in the area of West Central Avenue and Riva Road at 5:45 p.m.
The girl and two women, ages 52 and 42, suffering from injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, fire department spokesman Lt. Cliff Kooser said.
Initial reports from police indicate that a Honda and a Mercedes collided, police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said.
The three victims were taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by ambulance.
Police closed Central Avenue for roughly an hour after the crash.
