Lottery Employee To Be Sentenced For Theft

Maryland Attorney General Doughlas Gansler announced this week that former Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency employee Mark Hantske, age 59, of Lothian, pleaded guilding in AA Co. circuit court to two counts of felony theft by taking nearly 100,000 of scratch-off lotterly tickets from various Maryland businesses over a several year period of time.
One of those victims was the Davidsonville Market, which the loss of $18,000 in tickets contributed to their decision to close the store as of Aug. 23.
Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 11.
