Janice Edelen Beitler, 81, of Odenton, Maryland passed away peacefully on March 11, 2021 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.
She is survived by her husband Wayne G. Beitler, her son Wayne E. Beitler, her grandchildren Alexander D. Cornish and Amanda L. Cornish, and her sister Jacquelyn D. Edelen. She was preceded in death by her parents J. Norman and Virgie C. Edelen, her sister Mary Ella (Sue Edelen) Lewis, and her daughter Tracey L. Beitler.
Born near Upper Marlboro, Maryland on June 30, 1939, Janice grew up on her parents' tobacco farm in Davidsonville and graduated from Annapolis High School in 1957. She married Wayne in 1958 and, while they raised their family, Janice built a successful administrative career working for such organizations as the National Security Agency, the State of Maryland, and the Naval Institute. Janice was a strong and independent woman who instilled in her children a sense of responsibility, self-reliance, and adventure. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17 at Noon at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at 1911 Forest Drive in Annapolis. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation would be appreciated.

Redmiles of Davidsonville, MD, known by many as Coach “Cap,” passed away quietly on March 1, 2021 at 93 years young.A 40-year resident of Davidsonville, and previously of Cheverly, MD, Donald was born May 2, 1927 to the late Alfred and Bessie Redmiles, the youngest of eight sisters and two brothers, all of whom predeceased him.
