Rt. 50 Closed By 3 Car Accident

A three-vehicle crash closed Route 50 eastbound at Route 424 for more than an hour Wednesday afternoon, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.
The accident occurred at 3:46 p.m., said Cpl. Brian Curley of the Maryland State Police. Soon afterward, the State Highway Administration closed the road's right lane and posted on Twitter that lanes could be closed up to an hour.

Anne Arundel County Police tweeted at 5:04 p.m. that Route 50 had reopened. 
A 60-year old man was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious but not life-threatening injuries, said Lt. Cliff Kooser of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. A 30-year-old man with serious but not life-threatening injuries was driven to shock trauma, Kooser said.
No further information was available about the identity of those involved in the accident as of 5 p.m.
