County Executive Laura Neuman has announced the appointment of Richard C. “Rook” Rogers, who started Monday as chief of staff which entails overseeing the county executive's office.
Rogers had been the CEO of E-Landscape Specialty Solutions, a Davidsonville-based commercial landscaping company. He had retired in 2010 as vice president of the McKinney Drilling Co. He also was on the advisory board of Sandy Spring Bank, and was a trustee for OS Charitable Trust as well as special project manager for the Inter-County Broadband Network, a technology program led by Howard County Executive Ken Ulman that delivers broadband technology to the state.
Rogers started work on Monday in the position that pays $130,000 per year.
