Another tractor stolen.  There was another recently.  They may be related.  Have you seen a new tractor or lawnmower in your neighborhood?

Historic London Town & Gardens Tractor is Stolen —Can You Help Get it Back?

Over the weekend, thieves broke into Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater and stole the non-profit organization’s tractor. This tractor has been an invaluable tool for the restoration, maintenance and improvement of the gardens and grounds at Historic London Town. Numerous good works have been accomplished with the assistance of the tractor, for example, the park’s new ground level green roof, picnic grove, stormwater wetland, new woodland trail system and in-process children’s playground.
It had a lot more work in its future.
The tractor purchase was only made possible by donations, so it will be very difficult to replace.
According to Nate Powers, horticulture director for the facility, the thieves cut the fence and either took the tractor away on a truck or trailer, or hot-wired it and drove off the facility grounds. Powers said he came to work on Monday and was shocked to see the machine had been taken.

Powers called Anne Arundel CountyPolice and made a report, but said that he didn’t hold out much hope for them finding it.
“We have a better chance through word-of-mouth in the community. I hope someone comes forward,” Powers said.
The stolen tractor (pictured at right) is a blue New Holland Compact Tractor, Model # T1110 with a 210TL bucket on the front. A York rake is mounted on the rear.
Anyone with information regarding the theft of this tractor is encouraged to do the right thing and contact Anne Arundel County Police or Historic London Town and Gardens, phone: 410-222-1919 or email: gardens@historiclondontown.org.
