South River High's Cheerleading team captured the state championship, while the Chesapeake and Arundel teams came in second and third, on Sat., Nov. 9.
South River, Chesapeake, Broadneck and Arundel all qualified for the state championship meet by finishing in the top five at the regional last Wednesday. The South River Seahawks were first in the regional.
