Rose Ann Thomas, 91, died peacefully April 30 at Sabal Palms of Largo surrounded by her children.
Born in Paisley Scotland on October 23, 1921, Rose came to the U.S. at the age of 5 growing up in New Rochelle NY. She later became a lifetime resident in Davidsonville before moving to Largo, FL in 2004.
She volunteered most of her time as member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 8950 in Maryland. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Norman Thomas, in 2004. She is survived by her three children, Paul Gaboury (Diane) of Davidsonville; Carl F. Thomas (Randi) of Hanover and Mary A. Maurer of Clearwater FL; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 9 at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South)Bowie, followed by aservice in the chapel atCheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
