Fred Bottner Passes Away
Fred "Freddie" Bottner, 74, of Davidsonville, died May 8 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Born on August 8, 1938 to the late Nicholas and Agnes Bottner, Fred was a 1956 graduate of Annapolis High School then became part owner-operator of Nicholas Bottner and Son Custom Home Builders until 1980. He then utilized his expertise in becoming a construction superintendent with F. G. Marker, Co., Inc., Avalon, Inc. and Clevenger Corporation.
Fred was a past-president of both the Davidsonville Ruritan Club and the Anne Arundel County Fair Association. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his John Deere Gator, woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Fred is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Lou Bottner. He is survived by two daughters, Terri (Paul) Acito and Judi Bottner, both of Davidsonville; sister, Mary Theresa (Bill) Lerch of Lothian; two granddaughters, Ashley and Kasey Acito of Davidsonville.
Friends are invited to Fred's Life celebration from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, May 12, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Monday, May 13 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to Holy Family Catholic Church An online guestbook is available at www.kalasfuneralhomes.com.
