Nicole Burgess is Murder Victim

From The Capital

Anne Arundel County police say they've found "no motive" in the death of a woman and her dog discovered in a Davidsonville home on Friday morning.
Police confirmed the woman found dead inside the home in the 3300 block of Royale Glen Court was 37-year-old homeowner Nicole Burgess.
Beyond saying that they have not yet figured out a motive for the homicide, police are not saying whether they have any suspects or if the incident appears random.
They also have not confirmed the manner in which Burgess died.
Police responded to the home yesterday after two acquaintances discovered the woman’s body around 11:30 a.m.   A homicide investigation was immediately launched. Police said the woman suffered trauma to the upper body.

On Saturday, several cars drove past the house on the dead-end street, presumably to get a glimpse of the house, which is still surrounded by crime scene tape. The 2,600-square-foot home is set on a 3.4-acre plot.

It is the county's fifth homicide in 2013, according toThe Capital's records.  Police are asking anyone with information on the homicide to call Detective Vince Carbonaro at 410-222-3453.

Information also can be provided anonymously by calling the 24-hour Metro Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
