Music Educators of Greater Annapolis held their annual Spring Piano Solo Festival on March 16 at the Westin Hotel.
Winners of the high school competition were Sam Operchuck, recipient of the Founders Award, who is home schooled and from Gambrills; Marie Harrison, winner of the Marc and Kirk Elvy Award for Artistic Excellence, who is home schooled through Cedar Brook Academy and from Davidsonville; and Kate Kirby, winner of the MEGA Award for Excellence, who is a senior at The Key School and from Annapolis.
