D'ville Little League Wins

Davidsonville-based South Maryland Little League used three pitchers to limit Arbutus Little League to one hit, as host South Maryland prevailed in the first round of the Maryland District 4 All-Star tournament, 11-1, at the Bottner Road field.
Jack Donovan got the win and doubled and singled, scoring two runs. Danny O'Hagan scored twice, and Leonard Meade was 3 for 3, also scoring twice.
South Maryland plays Sunday at noon against Laurel Little League, which defeated South Baltimore Little League, 15-2.
The winner of this double-elimination tournament for 11 and 12 year olds goes on to the state tournament in Easton, starting July 25, ultimately leading to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
This is the 16th year for Little League baseball in Davidsonville, which sponsors play for children ages 4-16 in the areas of Davidsonville, Edgewater, Riva, Annapolis and Broadneck.
