Michael Heup Carries Torch

       The Maryland State Special Olympian from Davidsonville will carry the torch for the Maryland State Games as the Law Enforcement Torch Run Ambassador on Wednesday as he has done for the last 14 years.

      This year, Michael  Heup added another flame to his torchbearing career. He carried the Special Olympics Flame of Hope -- the torch for the Special Olympics World Games -- through Annapolis last Wednesday as part of the Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America presented by Bank of America.
