Two Killed In Davidsonville

Two people died Monday night in a head-on crash in Davidsonville that the Anne Arundel County Police Department says may have been caused by alcohol use by a driver.
The crash happened about 8:40 p.m. at 475 Central Ave. West near Beards Point Road in Davidsonville.
Preliminary investigation shows a black Audi TT was driving westbound on Central Avenue when it crossed the centerline and struck a silver Toyota Yaris head-on, police say.
The 60-year-old driver of the Yaris was declared dead at the scene by fire department paramedics. Authorities say the victim’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for autopsy.
A second victim, the 22-year-old driver of the Audi, was taken by Anne Arundel County paramedics to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis with critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say the cause of the crash appears to be the Audi driver’s failure to remain right of center and alcohol use appears to have contributed, as well.
The names and addresses of the victims have not been released.
