Anne Arundel County Police say two people were killed when their cars collided head-on in Davidsonville.
It happened about 8:40 p.m. Monday on Central Avenue West. Police say 22-year-old Nicholas Anthony Cassidy of Davidsonville was traveling west when his Audi TT crossed the center line. There was an apparent smell of alcohol in his car.
Officers say Cassidy's car hit a Toyota Yaris driven by 60-year-old Marie Elaine Higgs of Edgewater. Higgs was pronounced dead at the scene. Cassidy died at a hospital.
