Death of Nicholas Cassidy (St. Matthias Class of 2006)
Saint Matthias Family-
As you know, we are a small, connected community. I wanted to pass along news of the death of a former Saint Matthias student. I spent yesterday sharing this news with the former teachers and administrators of Saint Matthias. It is a unique and hard pain to suffer the loss of a student, and together we shared this sadness. It was, and is, apparent that, as teachers, your children are “our children,” too.
On Monday, December 15, 2014, Nicholas (Nick) Cassidy died in a car accident in Davidsonville, Maryland. He was 22 years old. The entire Cassidy family was involved in the life and learning at Saint Matthias.
Friends are invited to Nick’s Life Celebration from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 28 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 29. Burial will be at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
