Note:  Charges against this man were dropped after an investigation.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempting to rob a woman of her purse Monday evening in Davidsonville.
Adrian Lionel Dorsey Jr., of no fixed address, has been charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft of under $1,000, according to online court records.
When police officers responded to a Riva Road residence shortly after 6 p.m., the 35-year-old woman told them that she had pulled into her driveway to her garage and exited her car when she dropped an envelope, police said.
When the woman bent over to pick it up, she felt someone pulling on the strap of her purse. The woman stood up and saw a man, later identified as Dorsey, who then pushed her against her car and demanded her purse.
Fearing for her safety, the woman said she activated the car's panic alarm on her key fob. She told officers that the man then ran away empty-handed.
Officers searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. Police were able to develop Dorsey as a suspect based on prior contacts with him. Dorsey also was later identified by the woman, police said.
Police located Dorsey at the McDonald's in the 100 block of Mitchells Chance Road in Edgewater shortly after 8 p.m. where he was arrested.
