Patricia Ann McMullen, died at home in Davidsonville, MD, on January 3, 2018 after a short fight with cancer.
Pat was born on November 17, 1931 in Washington, DC to James and Marie McCarron. There she was raised in a loving family with her brother Jim and sister Cele. After a long-distance romance, on December 27, 1952, she married the love of her life, John Francis McMullen. They began their marriage in Swansea, MA, returning to DC a few years later with three children in tow. In 1962 they moved to Bowie, MD where they would raise their family which grew to six children. Pat, a stay at home mom, made the house on Kernwood Lane the go-to spot for family and friends.
Left to treasure her memories are her children and their spouses: Tina, Carron (Gary), Lisa, Sean (Christie) and (Diane). Grandchildren: Dan, JP (Becky), Matthew, Annie (Brian), Drew (Katie), Patrick (Skylar), Kevin, Holly, Ryan, Jack, Hugh and Brendan. And her great-grandchildren: Janie, Mark and Heath. She also leaves behind her sister, Cele, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Through her strong Catholic faith, she looked forward to being greeted in heaven by her husband John, son Terry, and daughter Tracy, who preceded her in death.
Family will receive friends at Beall's Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy. (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, MD, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
