Ann Ward Passes Away

    Ann Waters Ward, 70, died unexpectedly on January 11, 2018 at her home in Heritage Harbor. 
    Ann graduated from Annapolis High School, where she was active in sports and was the Homecoming Queen, in the Class of 1965. She received her BS Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland. She later earned her master's Degree in Education. Ann had a lifelong love of teaching, and will be remembered fondly by her many students, their parents, and her fellow teachers. Ann loved ballroom dancing and was a long-time member of the Davidsonville Dance Club. 
    Ann is survived by her two daughters, Susan Margaret (Margee) Ramsey of Colorado, and MaryFrances Drake of Georgia and 3 grandchildren Islay Ann Drake, Ian Henry Drake and Tessa Jacquelyn Drake. She is also survived by her sister Susan Steele and her brothers Jay Childs, David Childs, and Jamie Childs. 
    A memorial service will be held at Christ Reformed Evangelical Church, 1841 Generals Highway, on February 3rd at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to, Lothian Elementary School, 5175 Solomon's Island Rd, Lothian, MD 20711. Attn: Tammy Noble.
