Mark Connolly Passes Away

    Mark Connolly,  58, of Riva, MD, passed away on March 19, 2015 at the Washington Hospital Center following a brief illness.
    Born on February 28, 1957 in Annapolis to the late James E. and Rose C. Connolly. Mark spent his career in the boating industry, specializing as a yacht/fiberglass technician. In his earlier years he was employed as a union carpenter. Mark was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville. He was always willing to help his neighbors in any way. Mark enjoyed gardening, fishing, crabbing, woodworking and thoroughbred horse racing. Most of all, he was a devoted father and loved spending time with his family.
    In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra; three daughters, Amanda, Clara and Olivia; one brother, Jim Connolly of Ft. Washington; three sisters, Patricia Gwinn of Edgewater, Shelly Spencer of Holden, Maine, and Kathleen Hale.
    A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 29 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Down Syndrome Connection at www.downsyndromeconnection.com.
