Dogwood Acres Has A New Pool

 

Before Audrey Reichardt opened Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat with her husband Kurt, she used to fly her chocolate Labrador Casey to her mom’s horse farm if the pair had to go on vacation. They weren’t impressed with the kennels in the area.

Audrey figured there must be people as crazy about their pets as they were, and the pair opened Davidsonville-based Dogwood Acres in 1997.

The pet resort, which has luxury accommodations like room choices, gourmet snacks and VIP play sessions, has taken it one step further with its newest addition — an in-ground dog pool.
