National Night Out Aug. 6

On Aug. 6, National Night Out will be celebrated throughout the country.  The closest events to Davidsonville will be held at the Crofton Library, 1681 Riedel Rd., from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the Lula G. Scott Community Center, 6243 Shady Side Rd. in Shady Side. There will be food, beverages, ice cream, giveaways, children's games, contests, a K-9 demonstration and a bomb squad robot demonstration. There also will be free entertainment on two stages along with police and fire vehicles on display.
