Fly Fishers Meet Sept 4 At DFRC

Topic: “Tips, Tricks and Techniques: Fly Fishing Winter Trout” 

Capt. Duber Winters will cover the basics of rigging for trout and other species, a little entomology, fly selection knots, and other tidbits for the upcoming winter fly fishing season. The session is geared for fly anglers of all skill levels.

Capt. Winters, a certified fly-casting instructor, has more than 20 years of experience as a guide, Orvis store manager, author, fly-tier and naturalist.  He has a wealth of knowledge about all aspects of fresh and saltwater fly fishing.  He works as an independent guide from Annapolis, MD where he has taught many fly fishers in the region the basics of fly angling in his popular trout and bass schools. 

Open to the public with no entrance fee, the monthly club meetings will be held at the Free State Fly Fishers' club house located at the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center, 3789 Queen Anne Bridge Road, Davidsonville, Maryland.
