Mazza & Maloof Lead Towson To Big Win

After keeping things local through the first five games, Towson headed to central Ohio for its longest road trip to date against 13th ranked Ohio State.  Towson's offense through those five games was led by Jon Mazza (12g, 6a) and his 18 points.  Grant Maloof (6g, 1a) was fourth on the team in goals with Maloof leading on the extra-man with a pair of strikes.    

The game was against Ohio State was televised on the Big Ten network.

Driving the goal in the final 10 seconds of overtime, junior attackman Jon Mazza scored the game-winning goal as the Towson University men's lacrosse team rallied past No. 13 Ohio State for a 7-6 win at Ohio Stadium.

Towson (3-3) reached the overtime period as fellow junior Grant Maloof scored an extra-man goal with 1:16 to play in the fourth to tie the game at 6-6. Maloof and Mazza each scored twice to account for over half of the team's goals.   Redshirt freshman goalie Shane Brennan stopped a career-best 16 shots.
