Charles Toney Passes Away

 
   Charles Andrew Toney, 82, a forty-seven year resident of Davidsonville, MD died very peacefully at his residence on September 2 due to natural causes.
    Born in Lawndale, NC on March 4, 1932, Charles served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. In 1967 he moved to Davidsonville and built his own home. He was a skilled brick mason, which led to him becoming a partner in the Toney & Black Construction Co.
    He was also a grain farmer and partner in the GTS Grain Co., Inc. Charles retired as a school bus driver for Anne Arundel County. He loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
    He is survived by his wife, Willard Dean Toney, whom he married in 1960; two sons, Charles Barry Toney of Davidsonville, MD and Chuck Andrew Toney of Supply, NC.
    Family and friends are invited to Charles’ Life Celebration on Tuesday, September 9 from 1pm until his memorial service begins at 2:30pm at Olive Grove Baptist Church, Leman Gap Rd., Casar, NC 28020.
