Accident On 424

From the Capital-Gazette

DAVIDSONVILLE - A 30-year-old man was sent to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday afternoon.
County police said Timothy Joseph Humphrey, 30, of Edgewater, was traveling south on Davidsonville Road around 2:15 when a 2004 Toyota Avalon pulled out from a flashing stop signal on Governor Bridge Road and into the roadway.
Unable to stop, Humphrey struck the driver's side of the car and fell off the motorcycle onto the road, police said.
Humphrey was wearing what county police described as "noncompliant headgear."
Both the driver and passenger in the Toyota were transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the crash, police said. They said the crash appears to have been caused by the Toyota's failure to yield the right of way.
The States Attorney's Office will be consulted prior to the filing of any charges, police said.
