Charles Thomas Wilkes, Sr., 80, of Pocomoke City, died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
Born on August 20, 1938 in Baltimore City, MD, he was a son of the late Robert and Cynthia Mae Shaw Wilkes. Charles was an avid fisherman and worked for nearly twenty years as the office manager at Razzano and Fohner in Davidsonville, MD.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Wilkes; son, Charles Thomas Wilkes, Jr.; daughter, Sherry MacKrell and her husband Thomas; three grandchildren, Josh Mackrell, Jessie MacKrell and Malorie Wilkes; and siblings, William Wilkes (Dottie), Cynthia Denton (Paul), Paul Wilkes (Debbie), Anna Thomas and Joanne Sann. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three siblings, Robert L. Wilkes, Jr., Daisy Shore and Alfred Wilkes.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:45am at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Judes, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 107 Vine Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
