Dennis Sadowski Passes Away

    Dennis Sadowski passed away in the morning of December 31, 2020 after dealing with Parkinson's for over 20 years.
    He was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Casimer Sadowski and Adela Staniewicz Sadowski. He graduated from Central Catholic HS in Pittsburgh and sent on to graduate from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in civil engineering. After active participation in NROTC while a student, he reported to Navy flight school in Pensacola, FL where he gained his wings and trained in helicopters. He spent several squadron tours on aircraft carriers in the Pacific.
    In 1975, he reported to the US Navy Postgraduate School where he graduated with two Master's Degrees, one in systems technology ASW and the second in Financial Management. He married his wife, Charlotte Sue (Watton), in 1978 in Monterey.
    After becoming an Aeronautical Duty Officer, in addition to being a pilot, he reported to the Office of Naval Research Europe in London, UK. After working there for seven years, he retired from the Navy in 1993. He then started working for Royal Ordinance, a part of British Aerospace, and was living in Davidsonville, MD. He retired a second time in 2002, after receiving a Parkinson's diagnosis. He then moved to San Diego for a few years and then moved to Carmel Valley in 2010.
    He was predeceased by his parents and many beloved dogs. He is survived by his wife, Sue, and a rescue dog, Penny. Special thanks to Del Monte Assisted Living and to VNA, who took care of Dennis while he was in hospice. Due to Covid, there will be a private burial at El Carmelo Cemetery in Pacific Grove.
