Catherine Lee Tornabene, 71, a resident of Harwood, MD passed away in Baltimore, MD from COVID-19.
She was born on September 16, 1949 in Calvert County, MD to the late Charles "Harry" and MaryAnne McPherson. She was a graduate of Bowie State University, where she earned her BS degree in Biology. Catherine was a homemaker whose interests included gardening, reading, caring for animals, and painting. She was a member of Holy Family and St. Dominics Catholic Churches and multiple school PTAs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Hugh Tornabene; and two siblings: William and Elaine. She is survived by her four children: Laurence, David, Michael, and Valerie; her siblings: Charles, Matthew, Margaret, and Rebecca.
There will be a brief graveside service on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11 am. Family and friends are invited to attend virtually; the service will be live-streamed by the family through Facebook. A Memorial Mass will be offered on September 16, 2021 at 11 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD 21035.
