Anne Arundel County fire crews were called to Homestead Gardens’
wholesale center on Gov. Bridge Rd. in Davidsonville after a small fire broke out Sunday
afternoon, officials said.
The fire was caused by an electrical issue
inside a greenhouse, said Lt. Charles Fowler, a spokesperson for the county
fire department. Firefighters responded at about 2:30 p.m. and were able to
control, and extinguish, the flames.
The fire caused “moderate” damage to the
exterior of a greenhouse, Charles said. No injuries were reported.
