Pat Spencer Picks Up Second League Honor

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for its ninth week, ending April 2, in men’s lacrosse. Loyola Maryland’s Pat Spencer was named this week’s Corvias Offensive Player of the Week, and Lehigh’s Eddie Bouhall and Donny Stires were named this week’s Corvias Defensive Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively. Navy’s Brady Dove was named the Corvias Faceoff Specialist of the Week for a second consecutive week, and Colgate freshman Griffin Brown rounded out this week’s honors and was named the Corvias Rookie of the Week.

Spencer earns his second weekly award of the season after turning in a career-high tying performance as the Greyhounds defeated Colgate 12-5 on Saturday. The sophomore notched five goals and also added an assist for a total of six points. He scored four goals in the first half, three of which were unassisted, to help Loyola jump out to an 8-1 lead at the half. Spencer also picked up two groundballs.
