Three Penn State women’s lacrosse standouts were named to the 2017 Tewaaraton Award Watch List on Tuesday evening. Senior classmates Abby Smucker (Bel Air, Md.) and Steph Lazo (Stevensville, Md.) join sophomore Madison Carter (Davidsonville, Md.) as part of the 50 candidates on the list this season.
On April 27 the field will be narrowed to 25 nominee’s, which can include players on the initial list or late additions with a final five being announced on May 11 and invited to the 17th Annual Tewaaraton Ceremony held in Washington, D.C. on June 1.
