Sandra Jean Carr, "Sandy", passed away on November 3, 2016. Beloved wife for 55 years to Maurice "Snooks" Carr.
Born on June 9, 1942, in Washington, DC, to the late Samuel and Dorothy Bayly. Sandy graduated from Annapolis High School in 1960.
A longtime resident of Davidsonville, MD, she retired as a draftsman from Anne Arundel County Planning and Zoning after 36 years. A lifelong animal lover, she founded and served as Director of the Davidsonville Wildlife Sanctuary for many years until her passing. Her many friends, both two and four legged, mourn her passing.
Sandy is preceded in death by her brothers, John and Larry Bayly. She is survived by her children, Deborah Carr, Brenda (Greg) Evans, and David (Lisa) Carr, grandchildren, Kyle Carr, Dylan Carr and Colton Evans.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the wildlife or pet rescue organization of the donor's choice. Some of the organizations that Sandy supported include SPCA of Annapolis, Black Beauty Ranch (Murchinson, TX), and the National Wildlife Federation. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 4 until a service begins at 7 p.m., at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD.
