One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a crash Friday night on Beards Point Road in Davidsonville, a county fire department spokesman said.
Police and firefighters responded at 10:38 p.m. to Beards Point Road and Beards Creek Court for a report of a motor vehicle collision with ejection, said fire department Lt. Erik Kornmeyer.
When units arrived they discovered one person was dead and a 20-year-old man had been ejected from the vehicle, Kornmeyer said. A 35-year-old woman was trapped inside the vehicle, he said.
The 20-year-old was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries, Kornmeyer said. Units extricated the woman from the vehicle in about 10 minutes. She also was flown to Shock Trauma with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries, he said.
A fourth passenger in the vehicle didn't require medical treatment.
