June Maxim Passes Away

    June T. Maxim, formerly of Davidsonville, died peacefully December 4 in Port Orange, FL surrounded by family. 
    The eldest of five, June was born January 7, 1929 to Howard and Dorothy Giles of Philadelphia, PA. Graduating from West Catholic Girls High, she married Robert J. Davidson in 1948. June wore a smile and carried her sewing or knitting projects with her. She was active in the Women's Gourmet and Garden Clubs of Bowie. June became a cashier at Belair Engineering, greeting all with a hello and helpful advice. This is where "Junebug" met her second husband, Edwin P. Maxim. Following retirement, June and Ed enjoyed traveling splitting their time between their Davidsonville home and Florida. 
    June is survived by her husband, Edwin; daughter, Marybeth Davidson and husband Mike Elwood; son Robert Davidson III, and granddaughters, Maggie, Jackie and Nikki Davidson; daughter, Terry Ann Davidson-Ertter and grandsons Kyle and Collin Ertter; son, Michael Davidson and wife Christine, and granddaughters, Rachel, Amanda, Moriah and Cara Davidson; Mark Davidson and wife Karen, and granddaughters, Shannon and Julia Davidson; sister-in-law, Betsy Giles of Wenonah, NJ; and sisters, Barbara Lewis and Nancy Willis both of Davis, NC.
    The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m.  Interment at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.     Dougherty Funeral Home of Pasadena, MD is handling arrangements.
