David Kienast, 77, a resident of Davidsonville, MD for 44 years and previously of Glenn Dale, MD, died on Wednesday, April 18 at his home. Born on September 27, 1940 in Washington, DC to the late Charles W. and Anna Hoover Kienast, Dave graduated from Bladensburg High School and attended the University of Maryland in College Park. He served as an aircraft mechanic in Vietnam with the Air National Guard from 1968-69. Dave was vice president and general manager of York Service, Inc. in Washington, DC and enjoyed maintaining the family's horse farm in Davidsonville. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Lee Kienast; his children, Michael of Glen Burnie, MD, Kathryn of Davidsonville, MD and Roberta of Havre de Grace, MD and his grandchildren, Harry, Zachary, James, Lucy, Rebecca, Sophie, Sarah, Abigail and Ellie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Kienast. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 29 at 2:30 PM at All Hallows Brick Church, 3600 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD with a reception to follow at the parish hall.
